This week, I want to share something powerful—the experience of the October Super Moon. Whether or not you believe in the magic of the full moon, I love these rituals because they make us look inward and ask ourselves the hard questions. It’s a time to reflect, refocus, and make sure we’re still on the path to achieving everything we desire. And let me tell you, every successful leadership and business course I’ve ever taken has started with looking inward.
Here’s what I did with my journal during this Super Moon, and I hope it inspires you to dive deep too:
The first step in growth is always gratitude. I started by writing down all the things I already have—everything I’m thankful for. This simple act shifts your mindset from scarcity to abundance, and it opens up so much space for what you want to come next.
Next, I wrote down what I desire in my life. Not just what I want to achieve, but how I want it all to feel. Who do I wake up next to? Where am I? What am I doing in my career, and how does it FEEL? Because let’s be honest—I’ve had times when I achieved what I wanted but ended up feeling exhausted, miserable, and unpresent. That’s not what we’re here for.
Then, I asked myself, “What’s holding me back? What do I need to let go of?” This included negative self-talk, habits that no longer serve me, and anything that doesn’t align with my desired future.
I compared what my day looks like right now with what I want my ideal day to be. I circled anything I haven’t been doing that would move me closer to my dream day and committed to starting those actions, even if the desired day isn’t fully here yet.
This might sound a little out there, but I took that list of things that weren’t serving me, and I burned it. It was my way of truly letting them go. And I placed my list of desires in a glass of water under the moonlight, allowing the moon’s energy to amplify them (hey, don’t knock it till you try it!).
These exercises gave me time to reflect, understand what I truly want, and realize that it is possible. When you shake out the noise, stay grateful, and take small actions every day, you can make your desires a reality.
I’m feeling moon-charged and ready to bring my goals to life, and you can too. So let’s keep raising the vibes and making magic happen!
